The weapons for the book: ABANDON NORMAL INSTRUMENTS
The weapons for the book:
ABANDON NORMAL INSTRUMENTS
2020/10/25
This week I worked on the weapons
so that the listeners and even the reader can join in and be a part of the
story. The instructions for the weapons and how they should be used is written
in the first and third blog posts. This week's prompt is abandon normal
instruments and in a way I did follow this in the sense that I didn't use the
correct instruments to make the weapons, like metal or actual materials that
could be harmful to children.
All three weapons are save. I made the weapons small enough to be
put into a pouch that can be attached to the book.
I made the sword by following the video by Crazy gulshan’s
How to make a Paper Sword. I had to modify it by adding a guard. Then I painted it, which
might not be the best and I might will work on it. The material is safe.
For the bow I followed the
instructions of Butler, E. The only step I added was to cut of the pointy ends of
the skewers and sanded it down. I didn't make the arrows because that
could be distracting.
The shield was the easy and was done with the help of English Heritage's
video. I didn't really change anything and followed the video step for step. I
also painted it, again not the best, but I might work on it to make it look
better.
All three weapons are
just prototypes for the book.
